/me hates flash and javascript, and people who use javascript to create menus when it’s possible to create it using CSS+HTML. The most annoying thing are the sites which have flash intros but no “skip intro” (and the ones where the link is inside the flash) – I’ve flash and javascript disabled, if I can’t skip an intro or if I can’t find a link for a non-flash version of the site, chances are that I’ll not browse the site in the future.

Other annoying thing about javascript is using it to replace HTTP redirect commands; using a to redirect is also bad (will break the “back” button).

But the worst things are the simple ones: why are there lots of people using images with white background (instead of transparent) who doesn’t specify a background color for the page body (or the place where the image is)?

And this one has been already warned to correct the page:http://www.esarvfx.net – the background color is set using CSS, and the foreground one using HTML. That’s, when I browse it using my Dillo (no CSS support) which will show a blank background if nothing else is stated in the page, I’ll just see a white window with some pictures and hidden links.

Well after flash webpages have much more interactive & most companys now require at least flash banner on their website. All I want to say is that if we use flash logically it could creat a difference.

Another thing to avoid is long pages of full content, break it into smaller tidbits. A user should have to scroll more than 1/2 a page unless it is one long document.

everything annoys me about other peoples websites! I guess thats why i design them myself. But your right about everything on your list… i’m sure theres much more.

BTW, i secretly hate flash as well…
